I am a mother of two young children and began writing children’s book manuscripts in 2015. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Brooks, since June of 2007, and we live in Tennessee with our kids and two doodles.

I spend part of my time working as the marketing director for my husband’s Family Practice Dental office. In the remainder of my time, I’m devoted to family duties and kids ministries at our church. I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing in 2007 and then spent five years working in education before deciding to stay at home with our first child in 2014.

I’ve always had an expansive list of hobbies ranging from singing to photography, graphic design, video editing, landscaping, home and office decorating and many other creative ventures. However, the part that has always played the biggest role in my life has been writing! Whether it be stories, poems or songs, the medium that has always meant the most to me has been when the pen meets the paper and something unique unfolds.

Collaborating with Megan Duff on two books has been very fun and rewarding. I like to say that we’re loosely related as she is married to my first cousin’s wife’s brother…like I said…loosely. Because I hope to bring many more stories to life with Megan in the future, the title company for my books and the one that you’ll see at the top of this website is Petunia Papers, which is a loving nod to her creative Etsy store called “Little Petunia Co.”
